Fishing advice from Jon Dyson: These two flies will work at any depth for trophy pike, imitating a roach and a brightly coloured baitfish with subtle movements. I like to vary my retrieve from short, sharp pulls to long, slow strokes to maximise the chance of inducing an explosive take. Using the Chartreuse is great for when you get those annoying follows and no takes, as something bright can cause aggression and an eventual take. The same for if the water is particularly murky.
