Fishing advice from Jon Dyson: These two flies will work at any depth for trophy pike, imitating baitfish with subtle movements. The Goldeneye offers increased movement with the lengths of green cock hackles, while the Grafham Gold offers excellent flashy characteristics. I like to vary my retrieve from short, sharp pulls to long, slow strokes to maximise the chance of inducing an explosive take.
