At Snowbee our team of ‘professional’ anglers has never been busier. Stillwater ‘Team Snowbee’ travels the country fishing in ever-changing conditions, hotly pursuing their rightful place as one of the UK’s leading regional and national Stillwater competition teams. The feedback we get from this great bunch of guys is crucial to the continued development of the products designed in the UK office. Their philosophy is never to compromise, so we never do. If they’re happy then you can guarantee the product has been tried and tested, quite often to the point of destruction.

And so it was we turned to these guys to help us develop the highly popular ranges of Zr2 & XS-Pro fly rods.

Like all rods in the Snowbee collection, they rely on our well proven Tri-Modulus System. An innovative use of three different modulus carbons in different areas of the blank to achieve the precise action required. The modulus of the carbon steadily increases down the blank, resulting in a smooth and progressive power curve. The slightly stiffer butt section produces enormous reserves of power and is especially noticeable when making those longer than average casts… when it counts!

The Snowbee rod collection now comprises of different ranges to cover all budgets and fishing techniques. From the entry level Classic range right up to the class leading XS-Pro, one thing they all share is the same pedigree.

All rods in the range are carefully designed to balance perfectly with our XS, XSD & Classic reels and our XS Fly lines. Rod & line ratings are accurate, so you are assured that if you choose a Snowbee outfit, it will balance perfectly, perform faultlessly and cast effortlessly….allowing you to concentrate on the fishing.

A range of rods which have travelled the world, catching exotic Saltwater species from Bonefish to Sailfish. Equally at home spinning for Sea-Trout and Salmon, or Fly Fishing for Bass and Pike.

These 4-pce rods pack down to a convenient 29" and come in a quality Polyester Oxford covered Rod tube for protection when travelling. The blanks are finished in a rich, deep Aquamarine varnish with matching whippings.

The new generation Classic Fly Rods - 7ft to 10ft, an exciting range, whose stunning performance belies their highly competitive price. Included in this range is the Classic Junior, designed with Juniors in mind, it has been universally adopted by small stream anglers.

Its short length and heavier line rating, designed for faster loading in small hands, has proved ideal for brook fishing, particularly in windy conditions. Look out Dad - this isn't a toy - Junior might just be out-casting you, with a bit of practice !

Just as trout rod actions have evolved considerably in recent times, so too are variations occurring between the design and function of double handed rods for Spey-Casters around the world.

For us, 'Spey-Casting' is as much to do with fishing short-casts in confined pocket waters as it is coping with long open pools in difficult winds.

Our design brief was to create a range of rods with a blend of tradition, elegance and function, using our own state of the art Tri-Modulus Graphite technology.

By combining IM6, IM7 & IM8 carbon in different areas of the blank, it was possible to achieve the precise rod characteristics we required.

Add to this the XS-P's amazing tip sensitivity, its smooth and progressive power take-up and its ultra-fine fish-playing responsiveness and you have a rod you could only have dreamt of...until now!
