Snowbee Gallery Competition

Send in your best photos of fish caught with Snowbee tackle around the world to enter our Snowbee Gallery Competition. The rules are simple: Any fish, anywhere - so long as it's caught on Snowbee Tackle.

There will be a Monthly Prize of a Snowbee Fly Line of your choice and the Monthly Winners will then automatically enter the Annual Competition to win a Fly Rod, Fly Reel & Fly Line of your choice.

Judging will be at the sole discretion of the "Snowbee Team" and their decision is final. The winner won't necessarily be the biggest fish. It might be the most challenging, the one caught using the most Snowbee Tackle or the most unusual catch, so along with your photo, send us the details of the fish species, weight, where and when caught and a brief story of the catch.

Photos should be in digital format and can either be e-mailed to us at flyfish@snowbee.co.uk or posted to us at our Plymouth address.

Terms & Conditions:

Snowbee reserve the right to use any images on this website or for marketing and advertising purposes and by entering this competition, entrants are deemed to have agreed to these terms.

wp81b82245.jpg Keen Bass angler Steve Pitts sent us this photo of a Tarpon caught in Tobago using a Snowbee XS910 Reel.

wpd7a340b8.jpg Allan Hughes caught this opportune Bonefish estimated at 4-5lbs, whilst fishing for Permit in Tobago, Easter 2005. A large Shark on the reef was keeping the Permit from moving inshore, so when this "Bone" turned up he thought it was worth a chuck - even with an #11 Wt outfit!

The "Bone" duly obliged, sucking in his Merkin Crab pattern intended for the Permit and taking off for the horizon!

Later in the day, he moved down to a more conventional #8 Wt outfit with a Snowbee XS780 Reel & an XS #8 Wt Fly line, to land another fine "Bone" around the same weight.

wp47e34ba3.jpg Steve Pitts also managed to land this tropical beauty in Tobago, using his Snowbee XS Reel. Who wants to go fishing with scenery like this! Not sure of the species and whether this qualifies for the competition, but we'll send you a "runner-up" prize anyway Steve!

wp8c8af024.jpg Mediterranean

wpbcbf01c2.jpg Meanwhile, off Tuscany & Sardinia, Marco Sammicheli and his team at MedFly Fish are discovering and opening up new Saltwater Fly Fishing opportunities in the Mediterranean, proving you don't have to travel to exotic locations in the Tropics to experience some exhilarating sport. (See www.medflyfish.com). Snowbee Saltwater tackle has proved to be more than up to the challenge as our photo shows…Marco's angling partner Massimiliano Scali with a fine 4lb Bass taken off the Southern Tuscany coast using a Snowbee Deep Blue Rod and XS Reel. Marco himself caught this stunning 7lbs Bass in February 2005, again off the Tuscany coast using a Snowbee XS Reel. Further afield, the MedFly team are catching Bluefish & Leerfish off the Ebro Delta, Barracuda off Sardinia, Dolphin and Albacore off Malta, Tuna off Liguria, plus offshore species such as Bluefin Tuna, Bonito, Little Tunny, Amberjack, Swordfish & Spearfish!

In Australia, David Riverdito has been putting Snowbee XS Reels through their paces in Queensland. Our photo shows David with an 8Kgs Skipjack Tuna taken off Rooney Point, using our XS LA #910 Reel.
