Working backwards from the pile of fly boxes, gadgets & gizmos the modern day fly fisher likes to carry, we designed the XS Vests around what needed to be carried, rather than the other way around. Every pocket is there for a specific purpose and not just because there is space available - allowing you to spend more time fishing and less time looking for things!
Our new designs have waterproof linings with heat-taped seams and waterproof zips to all the main pockets, allowing your fly boxes, reels, spools and accessories to remain dry in the worst of weather. The main body material is a lightweight, breathable 50% Cotton, 50% Polyester material, which has high wicking and quick drying properties.

A longer version of the Wading Vest designed with the Bank or Boat angler in mind. The top of the vest has exactly the same pocket configuration as the shorter Wading Vest. The extra length, allows the addition of:
2 further main waterproof box design pockets, with waterproof zips
4 Velcro flap pockets for “lotions, potions & accessories”
The XS-Pro Fly Vests follow the modern concept of a single, mid-length vest for all purposes, rather than the more traditional short wading vest and long
bank vest.
Using our well-tested design practice of starting with all the items you want to put in a vest on the table, we ensure that every pocket is there for a reason and not just because there was space available.
The new XS-Pro Vests use the latest CVC material. This novel blend of 50% cotton, 50% Polyester, gives the soft feel of brushed cotton, coupled with the durability and fast drying properties associated with Polyester.
DWR Coating:
In addition, the material is treated with a DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finish. This chemical treatment forces water to bead up and roll off the surface of the fabric, which enhances the water-resistant properties and keeps the fabric light, by not soaking up water. This super durable application will retain its properties even after repeated use & washings.
For summer fishing, the XS-Pro Vest is also available in a Mesh Vest model. It has a similar pocket configuration to the full vest but the body is made in a lightweight nylon mesh, for comfort & ventilation, in hot conditions.
The only other difference is the rear of the vest, where a double layer of mesh forms the main rear pocket, for a lightweight waterproof etc. This is stitched at either side to form two water bottle or spare spool pockets and between these is a secure zipped pocket, for
maps etc.

The new Snowbee Lifejackets are approved to the very latest European EN standards and offer anglers complete peace of mind, coupled with practical designs tailored specifically to the needs of fly fishers.

The new Snowbee Auto-Inflate Fly Vest incorporates many of the innovative Fly Vest design features from our award winning XS-Pro Fly Vest (see Pages 52-53), but with the added advantage of fleece lined hand-warmer pockets. For the first time this new garment offers both wading & boat anglers a proper, functional fly vest, with built-in lifejacket.
Approved to the latest ISO12402 standards, which supersede the old CE standard, this new model features the very latest UML Mark 5 auto/manual inflation device. This unit is the most reliable on the market & incorporates a simple screw-in cartridge unit, with a new ‘rain-proof’ cover, to prevent accidental inflation.
This EN393 approved safety vest is fitted with a simple screw-in 20g CO2 cylinder, which provides 120N buoyancy.
Note: The actual chest measurements of this vest are 2” larger than those shown in our size chart on Page 100. This is to allow for the fact that any form of inflatable lifejacket MUST be worn OUTSIDE any other garment to avoid the danger of injury in the event of an activation.
Not a new concept, but our new Collar style Lifejacket is designed specifically for fly fishing.
All other Lifejackets on the market follow a trend…not ours. As you would expect from Snowbee, we took an existing design and improved it. By listening to the needs of fly fishermen, we have modified the basic design, to make it more user-friendly for anglers.
Gone is the annoying stand-up collar, which is always in the way when watching the back-cast. Our new model incorporates a rear panel, joining the collar to the waist-belt, which holds the collar down out of the way, more like a jacket. On the front, are 2 useful, bellows design pockets, large enough to hold a small fly box, packs of leaders, floatants/sinkants etc.
This EN396 approved lifejacket uses a 38g CO2 cylinder providing a class leading 190N buoyancy. Enough to hold up a large angler fully dressed in waders & outer clothing. Also fitted with the highly reliable UML Mk5 auto/manual inflation device for peace of mind and simplicity of use.
