New Prestige Fly Rods
The return of the Prestige fly rods in 4 and 6 piece blanks in 2008/2009 proved a very popular move, building on the pedigree of the original Prestige range, way back in 1997. For 2010 we have completely upgraded the range however, with new, ultra light weight blanks. The new rods now in a beautiful pearlescent finish with totally unique and distinctly individual burl wood reel seat finish are of the highest quality performance and finish. We have also extended the range to include a number of #3 and #4wt rods in various sizes, specifically designed for Eastern european style river nymphing. These new changes bring the Prestige range into a totally new class of rod than anything ever produced by Snowbee before.

Prestige 4-pce Travel Fly Rod
The lightweight aluminium reel fittings have a hard anodised silver/gold finish and feature a stunning maple burl wood insert. This beautiful wood displays a range of colours and grain patterns, making each rod quite unique and distinctly individual. The new rich bronze colour of the blanks is complimented by self colour whippings with a subtle, single band of bronze whipping. From the moment you pick up a new Prestige fly rod, you will appreciate the detail that has gone into them, as they simply ooze class. Every rod carries a life time guarantee and comes in matching cotton drill sleeve and light weight aluminium tube, providing the ultimate in protection, style and peace of mind.
Using our well-proven tri-modulus technology, the blanks feature a subtle blend of 30, 40 & 50 ton carbon, to achieve precise action throughout the blanks. These rods now compare favourably with the best on the market, plus for 2010 we have extended the range to include some fabulous new lighter line class, river rods.
Prestige 6-pce Travel Fly Rod
Use of the very latest and lightest tri-modulus carbon blanks, provides an unbelievably light, effortless, crisp action. Tip recovery is almost instantaneous allowing precision and distance casting with any balanced line and leader combination. Powerful butt sections provide huge reserves of power for distance casting and taming the hardest fighting fish. This new range has a deep, rich bronze colour blank, with subtle matching whippings. Fitted with top quality anodised aluminium reel seats with genuine maple wood inserts, these quality rods more than live up to their ‘Prestige’ name.
At 6-pieces, the travel rods are still very lightweight and smuggle into the smallest suitcase or travel bag, so that no destination need be visited without one to hand.

Prestige 6-pce Salmon Rod
Offering the travelling Salmon angler the convenience of a 6-pce blank, packing down to just 34” (86cms). The original of this rod had a great action but was described by some as a heavy 'double-hander'. Now made from the new superior, lighter weight design, when coupled with the new elegant looks and retaining all the orignal performance the new Prestige Salmon will soon become the rod of choice for many.
New Diamond Fly Rods
This is where it all started, back in 1994! The very first Snowbee Fly Rods, all those years ago were the ‘Diamond Fly’, which had a loyal following amongst fly fishers. Our new Diamond range, launched in 2008, brought back everything that was good about those early rods in terms of quality and reliability, but incorporated the latest thinking in fly rod design and material technology. They soon became our biggest, fastest selling range of fly rods ever, as discerning customers came to appreciate the performance and value and we have now upgraded the entire range to 4pce construction only and added a few new rods to extend this popular range still further.
For 2010 the range has been completely upgraded, with the introduction of all new 4-pce blanks. Retaining the same crisp, middle to tip action of their predecessors, the new Diamond Series yet still representing exceptional value, starting at below £100. They compete on performance with many of the best rods on the market, but infinitely more affordable. Using the best quality materials available, we spared nothing in producing the best looking, best fishing 4-piece fly rods we could achieve at this price.
Every rod in the new range has been designed with a particular fishing application in mind and for 2010 we have 6 new models joining the Diamond range. These new longer, lower line weight models, will appeal particularly to river fishers in central & eastern Europe, the home of Czech nymphing techniques. However, they will also find favour with the increasing number of anglers switching to lighter line classes and continental methods.
The Diamond range features fast action 4-pce blanks finished in a lustrous deep olive colour, with self colour whippings. Subtle gold graphics & single bands of gold on each ring whipping, give these rods a classic appeal. The quality, brushed aluminium reel seats have olive green burl wood insert, complimenting the colour of the blanks.
With oversize ‘Sic’ lined stripper rings, hard chrome, high lift snakes and oversize hayfork tip ring for maximum line speed, the overall finish simply oozes casting performance. Every rod comes complete with matching olive cotton-drill rod bag and a strong Cordura covered rod tube embossed with our leather “fly” logo.
